Wow.  Alright, I realize that everyone always comments about how it's been so long since they've written on this thing.  And I believe that i will follow in their footsteps and say the same thing.  Man, it's been forever since i"ve been on here!  Well, reason being, the only internet I have is at the church and they have kinda blocked this site.  Sorry guys!

Well, things are absolutely amazing here in snowy CO.  If you have been paying attention to the news, we got a blizzard up here...at first I went crazy being stuck in my apartment and I then started to love it...except for the fact that none of the side streets are plowed and my car has been stuck three times in two days...not good.  So aside from the fact that people don't know how to drive on snow, let alone plow a road...I love it!  Phil Christain and I got to take a long hike in the snow since our cars were absolutely covered...it felt great to get some fresh air and exercise.  and I learned that Phil does a great triple axle! :)

We just finished our huge Christmas program.  We went ahead and did something that the church has never seen before and we have had a lot of mixed comments. Actually, the program was very simple.  Instead of a choir, we had 12 amazing vocalists.  Instead of an orchestra, we had a band.  Okay, the cast was pretty big, but the script was fantastic.  We had a guy from Mosaid Church in LA write it and he did a fabulous job.  The story was about a dad and his two kids.  The kids despised their father and moved far away so they could make a life for themselves.  Then they both get a ticket to come home for Christmas and they aren't too sure how to take it.  In the first act the father seems like a pretty bad guy, but in the end his true self comes out.  Then the father goes to the kids himself to tell them that he loves them and that he wants them to come home. i probably didn't do a very good job explaining it, but the whole story was about God (of course), and how he came to earth himself (in the form of his son) to proclaim his love; a love that was not always understood and was often times rejected.  To make a long story short, the script was fantastic and really opened up people's eyes to the Gospel in a way that they could understand it.  Of course there were negative comments about the story and we have seen a lot of exposed hearts because of it.  But we have also seen lives changed and it was a huge answer to prayer.

Um...I love living on my own, though, of course, there are its lonely times.  I love working at the church, and the people i work with have been absolutely fantastic.  I have become close with tons of people on the staff as well as people on the praise teams and in the choir.  I love them all dearly and they have repeatedly told me that they refuse to let me leave....yep, that makes me feel pretty good...we'll wait and see what God has in store 'cause he hasn't told me yet.

Good news...I have graduated from OCC!!!!!!! Yay!  Yes, to answer the thousands of questions, I will be back to walk in May, and will hopefully be back in J-town before that...we will see how much money I can save up on an intern's salary! :)

Well, I'd better get to bed.  It's early, but tomorrow (sunday) is a work day and I need to get some sleep before I get to the church early. Give me a call sometime!

Good to hear from you.  Tell all the Coloradians (is that what you call them???) that I would know (Phil, Lucas, etc.) that I said Merry Christmas!

We missed you sister! You're the only one keeping me sane, though beth does do a good job of that every once in a while. How will I survive Oklahoma without you? Looks like I'm on my own. I hope you had a great Christmas hun! Let us know when you get that package!

Hey-

Thanks for the update. It has been a while, you're right....;)

Sounds like life is going just swimmingly for you and you're enjoying yourself quite a bit. I really enjoyed your honesty with the mixed reaction your church gave- it's to be expected when you change things around. Anyway, I just liked that you wrote about that, thanks-I'm sure it was a bit difficult at times wondering what people were thinking and such.

I didn't get to hang out with your sister as much this semester, but perhaps it was for the better- I'm leaving for a year. She's wonderful. You already know that though, don't you?

Good to hear you're enjoying that snow. Push a little to Wisconsin, will you? It's far too brown and drab looking these winter days...

Love,

Becca

Hey, remember that one time we went to Branson? Man. Those were some goooooood times. (and we got all that free stuff!?)
