I am sitting here dog-sitting two of the world's most amazing dogs, watching the Disney channel, and right in the middle of a snow storm.  Ahh, the life.

I really miss home.  I miss my family and friends, the crazy quarks of Missouri...yes, I even miss Missouri.  I didn't think I would miss anything...boy was I wrong...of course it's not the first time that I've been wrong and it definitely won't be the last. 

My parents told me to get a snow shovel, snow tires, all of that gear. I laughed at them.  I mean, you have to understand.  Apparently where I live we hardly get snow...for some odd reason it hits all of the other towns, but not Longmont...at least that's what everyone told me.  Then we have some freak year where it snows non-stop.  Now my parents like to rub it in my face that I'm not prepared.                                 I have learned my lesson: Obey thy father and thy mother...i think i remember reading that somewhere.
